Virgol helps tradesmen manage clients, quotes, invoices, files, receipts, payments, and business reminders. This policy explains the information used by the app and how to contact us about privacy questions.
Information you add to Virgol
The app stores the business information you enter, such as client details, quotes, invoices, payment history, materials, files, receipts, qualifications, insurance records, and notes. This information is used to provide the app features you choose to use.
Account and support information
When you sign in or contact support, we may process your email address, account details, feedback messages, and replies so we can operate the app and respond to requests.
Files and receipt scanning
Files and receipt images you upload are used to show previews, attach records, and extract receipt information where you choose to scan a receipt. You should only upload documents you are allowed to store and process.
Service providers
Virgol uses trusted service providers such as Firebase/Google Cloud for authentication, database, storage, hosting, analytics, update checks, and app infrastructure. Virgol also uses RevenueCat to help manage subscription status and purchases. Store downloads, subscriptions, refunds, and payments are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play where applicable.
Receipt scanning and generated documents
Receipt scanning uses text recognition to suggest fields such as merchant, date, total, tax/VAT, and category. These suggestions may be wrong and should be checked before saving or relying on them. PDFs and reports are generated from the information you enter.
Retention and security
We keep account and app data while your account is active or while it is needed to provide Virgol, support users, comply with legal obligations, prevent misuse, resolve disputes, or maintain backups. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- You can update or delete records inside the app where those features are available.
- You can request support or report a problem from the app settings.
- You can request account or data deletion from the app settings, or by following the instructions on the account and data deletion page.
