How to use Virgol on a real job.

Start with the quote, keep the work moving through acceptance and To Buy, then invoice, record payment, and keep the job proof together.

Start from the dashboard

Use New Quote for new work, To Buy for materials needed from accepted quotes, and Needs Attention for overdue invoices, ready quotes, running trackers, and expiring documents.

Create the quote

Add the client and dates, then choose Quick Total for a simple price or Detailed Breakdown for materials, labour, travel, tax, discount, notes, payment instructions, and signature.

Send, accept, invoice

Send prepares the quote PDF and share/email options. Mark it Accepted only when the customer agrees, then convert it into an invoice without re-entering the work.

Build the To Buy list

Accepted quotes with materials can create a practical buying list. Mark each item as Purchased, Already Have, or Not Needed. Expenses stay separate so receipt scans do not duplicate costs.

Record payment and proof

Use Mark Paid for full payment, or Add Payment for deposits and part payments. Attach receipts and supporting files to expenses, payments, and job records for later review.

Print, share, and review

Invoice Print creates the PDF and opens the device share sheet, so you can save, print, email, AirDrop, or send it. Reports show money in, outstanding invoices, expenses, quotes, and tracked hours.

Set up reusable pricing

Save common materials, labour rates, travel rates, tax/VAT rates, and payment instructions in Settings. Existing quotes keep their copied prices even if saved rates change later.

Keep settings current

Profile details appear on PDFs. Qualifications and insurance dates can appear in lists and Needs Attention when close to expiry. Settings also includes Tutorial, Contact Us, privacy, terms, and account deletion.
